In another display of corporate irresponsibility Southwest Airlines has decided 'Mechanical Difficulties' is covered under their "Act of God" exemption for liability.

It is fair to say that if an aircraft fails to fly, it is a mechanical problem. Since the machine was created by man, if the machine breaks it is because of a man-made problem... not God.

Now, if God shoots a lightening bolt from the sky and blows the wheels off the airplane, then yeah... that's an "act of God". However, if Joe leaves his wrench in the engine of the plane and it blows out the engine... well that's not God, that's Joe.

Of course, we could go under the assumption that EVERYTHING is predetermined by God, and as such everything that happens "is meant to be". This position would render man-made laws, and governments impotent because man cannot act as the hand of God (take that crazy clerical government of Iran), and let's face it: anyone who says they are speaking on behalf of God.... they're just plain crazy.

So my question to SouthWest Airlines is: do you really think Joe the mechanic is God??

Yeah.... Starcraft 2.... 100% like Warcraft 3.... pretty lame in my opinion. I'll buy a copy if my kids want it, but honestly there is no difference from warcraft 3 except terminology.

This is actually happening here in the United States! The USA government has instituted a temporary drilling ban, and it has been overturned!!!!! WTF!

Under the Bush-Cheney administration, Dick Cheney (AKA 'the AntiChrist') managed to weasel through a law, appropriately named 'the Halliburton loophole' which remove ALL restrictions from energy companies searching for oil/gas. They can literally do whatever they want within the borders of the United States without any repercussions.  Gas compaines can legally poison our water supply, food supply, demolish land and trash the environment --- legally.

So, the judges who oppose a drilling ban are just a bunch of ass-hats.

This is always a fun weekend! Why?
